The macauba palm at Golden Agro

Macaúba Golden is part of the Golden Agro research hub, where management, propagation, and genetic adaptation experiments are conducted in partnership with TBB Genética, Atlantica Fertilizantes, and Gold Carbon 0. The goal is to develop productive, stable cultivars aligned with the bioenergy and premium plant-based product markets.
The experimental crops are monitored by environmental sensors and intelligent irrigation systems, ensuring accurate data for evaluating performance, productivity, and sustainability.

Macaúba has several high-value applications:
Vegetable oil for biofuels and the cosmetics industry
Pulp and kernel for food and nutritional products
Husk and biomass for energy purposes
